We are delighted to announce that The Royal Yorkshire Regiment Race Day will return to the York Knavesmire on Saturday, 23rd May 2026. This highlight of the regimental calendar is part of the prestigious May Spring Meeting and is open to the entire regimental family, including serving personnel, veterans, and their guests.
This is a high-demand event with a firm limit of 230 people, so we encourage you to book early to secure your place.
The Dante Package
Experience the races in style with our exclusive Dante Ticket, which includes:

Admission to a private function suite in the County Stand.

Dining: A three-course lunch and afternoon tea.

Amenities: A private balcony with seating overlooking the finishing post, plus private Bar and Tote facilities.

Extras: A race-day badge, race-card, and televised coverage of the races within the suite.

Evening Entertainment: Stay on for a performance by the tribute band ‘Re-Take That’ at the racecourse.
Ticket Pricing
The Regiment continues to heavily subsidise this event (at approximately 60% of the total cost) to ensure excellent value for our members.

Regimental Family: £80 per person (Includes serving/retired personnel, Regimental Association members, and spouses/partners).

Event Schedule (Timings TBC)

11:30 hrs: County Stand opens.

12:30 hrs: Luncheon is served.

13:45 hrs: First Race.

16:25 hrs: The Royal Yorkshire Regiment Handicap.

17:00 hrs: Last Race (Bars remain open for one hour).

18:00 hrs: ‘Re-Take That’ Tribute Performance.

19:00 hrs: Racecourse Closes.
Dress Code: A strict dress code applies. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie (regimental tie preferred). Please ensure all guests conform to these standards. There is no official dress code for ladies, however, most choose to dress up for a day at the races.
