There was thrilling action on the Knavesmire this week as the Regiment’s sponsored race, The Royal Yorkshire Regiment Handicap, delivered a spectacular finish.

Serving soldiers, veterans, and families gathered to represent the Regiment on one of racing’s most historic stages. The atmosphere was electric, matching the fierce competition on the turf.

This year’s renewal did not disappoint. In a fiercely contested field, it was the magnificent Pearl River that stole the show. Showcasing incredible stamina and a relentless turn of foot in the final furlongs, Pearl River stayed on strongly to power ahead of the chasing pack and claim a magnificent victory.
