This summer, Yorkshire’s own Regiment takes to the streets to mark a major milestone – 20 years of service since its formation in 2006.
The Royal Yorkshire Regiment will be holding a series of Freedom Parades across the county from 5–9 June 2026, marching through the communities that have supported them and their predecessors for two decades. It’s a rare chance to see the Regiment in full ceremonial dress, with military bands, cadets, and veterans all taking part.
Where and when:
5 June – Keighley at 1230 – 1500hrs
6 June – Halifax (including a service at Halifax Minster) at 1045 – 1400hrs, including a service at Halifax Minster.
7 June – Beverley at 1030 – 1230hrs, including a service at Beverley Minster.
7 June – Bridlington 07 June at 1430 – 1700hrs.
8 June – York at 1030 – 1300hrs, including a service at York Minster.
9 June – Richmond at 0945 – 1045hrs.
Each parade is free to attend and open to the public, so wherever you are across Yorkshire, there’s likely an event near you.
Come out and show your support for Yorkshire’s Regiment.
