The Royal Yorkshire Regiment family is sad to announce the passing of Private Apisalome Rawaidranu. Known to his fellow soldiers as ‘Rawa’, and as ‘Api’ to his family, he joined the British Army in October 2019 and served with 1 Platoon, Alma Company, 1st Battalion. In 2021 he deployed to Germany on Ex TALLIN DAWN and to Kenya on Ex ASKARI DELTA in 2022. He was known by all for his quiet but caring personality, his infectious laugh, and his outstanding singing voice.
