Former R YORKS Soldiers Raise £8,000 for Regimental Benevolent Trust

The Royal Yorkshire Regiment is delighted and immensely proud to congratulate two of its former soldiers, Lee Holmes and Doug Lincoln, on an incredible fundraising achievement.

At the Regiment’s Remembrance service on Saturday, Lee and Doug presented a cheque for an outstanding £8,000 to the Colonel of the Regiment, Major General Zac Stenning.

The funds were raised earlier this year when the two veterans undertook an epic journey, travelling from the regimental home in Richmond, North Yorkshire, to Crépon in Normandy, France, over seven days.

Their fantastic effort raised vital funds and awareness for two causes close to the Regiment’s heart: The Royal Yorkshire Regiment Benevolent Trust, which provides welfare and support to our soldiers, veterans, and their families in times of need, and Combat Stress, the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health.

The Regiment extends its heartfelt thanks to Lee and Doug for their dedication, hard work, and inspiring generosity. Their efforts are a powerful example of the lifelong commitment and community spirit that defines our regimental family.

Fortune Favours the Brave.
