On this #VJDay, we honour the courage and sacrifice of the “Forgotten Army,” including the brave soldiers of the Yorkshire Regiments who fought in the brutal and unforgiving jungles of Burma.

From a time of challenging, close-quarters combat to the modern-day soldier equipped to face the new challenges of a changing world, the unwavering spirit of the Yorkshire soldier remains.
