THE YORKSHIRE REGIMENT

Latest from Facebook

A great privilege for the Royal Yorkshire Regiment to help host the Lord-Lieutenant’s Awards for West Yorkshire at Huddersfield Drill Hall this week.

This historic hall, opened in 1901, is where soldiers from the 5th Battalion, The Duke of Wellington’s Regiment, mobilised for both world wars. More recently, it’s where our own soldiers from the 4th Battalion have mobilised for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

As the last County Regiment in the British Army, we are a true Yorkshire family. We were proud to host the award winners and their families, including one of our own, Cadet Sergeant Kelsie Quinn.

It was also great to catch up with Regional Colonel Cadets.
