A huge thank you and a fond farewell to WO1 (RSM) Scott (Paddy) Dyson as he hands over the role of Regimental Sergeant Major of the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Yorkshire Regiment.
After 25 years of outstanding service, WO1 Dyson leaves the Army, having risen through the ranks from Pte Dyson, a young man from Leeds, to the most senior soldier in the Battalion. A true county-proud and combat-ready example to us all.
While Scott moves on to a new chapter in the energy sector, he’s staying in the Regimental family. He’ll continue to support us with the 4th Battalion, The Royal Yorkshire Regiment, where he plans to finalise his Commission and serve as a Captain.
And a big welcome and good luck to WO1 (RSM) Terry Williams as he steps into his new appointment!
