The Royal Yorkshire Regiment marked a poignant day of remembrance with its annual Regimental Remembrance Parade, held at the Regimental Chapel, York Minster.
The event brought together the entire Regimental family, with serving soldiers, veterans from the Regiment and its antecedents, and cadets all gathering to pay their respects.
Inside the magnificent Minster, the congregation enjoyed a moving performance by the acclaimed 1 R YORKS Fijian choir, whose voices added to the reflective atmosphere of the service.
Following the service, the parade formed up outside the Minster. Past and present members of the Regiment and its antecedents marched proudly, giving the salute to the Colonel of the Regiment, Major General Zac Stenning CB OBE.
The parade was a powerful display of unity, honouring all those who have served and reaffirming the strong, unbroken bonds of the Regimental family.
