Colonel of the Regiment Visits Reservists on Exercise in Germany

Major General Zec Stenning, Colonel of the Regiment, recently visited soldiers from the 4th Battalion The Royal Yorkshire Regiment (4 R YORKS) as they conducted their Annual Deployment Exercise (ADE) in Sennelager, Germany.

The visit underscored the importance the Regimental leadership places on the training and operational readiness of its Reserve units. During his time with the Battalion, Major General Stenning observed the Reservists navigating a variety of complex exercise scenarios designed to test their core soldiering skills, decision-making, and teamwork in a demanding European environment.

A spokesperson for 4 R YORKS commented, “Hosting the Colonel of the Regiment during our ADE was a significant boost for all involved. His presence is a powerful indicator of the strategic relevance of the Army Reserve and the high-level focus placed on our soldiers’ professionalism and dedication.”

The ADE is a critical annual event that ensures 4 R YORKS remains fully prepared to integrate with the Regular Army and deploy on operations globally.
